Happy 2016! Now that we’ve drawn the red line on climate, let’s keep the momentum going this new year and build on our successes together! The fight has never been more urgent!

After COP21, the goal of limiting temperature rise to 1.5C will require NYS and all other governments to dramatically increase their targets and speed for moving to renewables. As Bill McKibben writes, “The pistol has been fired” and now we need to RUN! And fast!

Join us at the State Capital next Wednesday, January 13th for the “State of the Climate” Rally and March on Albany to demand action in conjunction with Governor Cuomo’s State of the State Address! Bus from NYC 7:00am – Westchester 8:00am

“Lighting the Way”

We’re excited to announce the launch of “Lighting the Way”, 350NYC’s latest Sustainability Project which seeks to provide LED lightbulbs for an entire building of low income seniors in NYC. There’s no easier path to immediate carbon reduction while also helping our neighbors reduce their electric bills.

If every New Yorker switched just one compact fluorescent bulb to an LED bulb, NYC would collectively cut over 125 million pounds of carbon emissions per year!

As you make out your end of the year contributions to your favorite charities, please consider this one time donation that will keep on giving for the next ten years the life of an average LED bulb.

To make a tax deductible contribution, please send a check to our fiscal sponsor:
Green Education and Legal Fund

Brooklyn, NY 11238
or for a quick non tax-deductible contribution go to:www.gofundme.com/LightingTheWay

Thanks for your support!

Call Cuomo to Stop the Constitution Pipeline

The Constitution Pipeline is a joint venture between Williams Companies, Inc. and Cabot Oil and Gas Corporation. As proposed, this pipeline would would transport fracked gas for 121 miles from Susquehanna County, Pennsylvania to Schoharie County, New York.

In order for this dangerous, dirty project to move forward, it still needs an important Water Quality Certificate from Governor Cuomo’s Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC). The DEC could decide at any time whether or not to issue this certificate, which is why it’s so important to take action now.

Call Cuomo Now! 518-474-8390
Urge him to deny the permit ad stop the Constitution Pipeline!
