STOP THE BOMB TRAINS NOW! Bakken crude oil, an extremely flammable, unstable, and highly volatile form of oil. is extracted in North Dakota by fracking and shipped to refineries on the East coast. In Bergen County, NJ, at least 30 times a week, loud, fast-moving freight trains trains carry Bakken crude through their towns, passing schools, hospitals and ball fields, and across the Oradell Reservoir which provides drinking water to 800,000 people)!

The Coalition to Ban Unsafe Oil Trains–a group of concerned citizens, first responders, civic groups, environmental organizations, labor unions, schools, and faith organizations– is calling for:
• An immediate ban on transporting Bakken crude oil through our communities
• Transparency by government, the oil and the rail companies
• Move New Jersey toward a green, clean, renewable energy future
