GLOBAL DIVESTMENT DAY is the first-ever global day of action focusing on fossil fuel divestment. In NYC, we will challenge investors to divest from fossil fuels and reinvest in the green infrastructure and clean technologies required to transition to a new, green economy.
Our message for investors everywhere is: Which Side Are You On? Are you financing the problem or the solution?
Speakers include: Helen Rosenthal, NYC Council Member for the 6th District; Clara Vondrich, 350NYC; representative from the office of NYU Public Advocate Letitia James; Chris Fici, GreenFaith and Union Theological Seminary; Sophie Lasoff, NYU Divest; Stuart Braman, Fossil Free Indexes US; Kevin Murungi, Global Kids, and the Reverend Yearwood, Hip Hop Caucus.
